How to apply for EDV 2026 Form online in Nepal?

Excited to apply for the EDV 2026 Lottery Form? The Electronic Diversity Visa Program, run by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, gives 55,000 lucky individuals worldwide a chance to apply for a Green Card each year.

Check for eligibility if you are a Nepalese citizen from Nepal or currently living abroad but interested in applying for the Green Card Lottery. It does not cost you any money to apply for the Diversity Visa program; it is free.

Application Date in Nepal: Opening and Closing

EDV 2026 will be open from October 2, 2024, at 9:45 pm (Nepali time), and the last date to fill out the form is November 5, 2024.

You must complete the application within this period to be eligible for the DV lucky draw, which will be held next year.

EDV 2026 Requirement

1. Country Eligibility: Your country must be eligible for the DV 2026 program.
2. Minimum Qualification: At least a high school education or its equivalent. (12th Pass)

How to Apply EDV 2026 Lottery form Online in Nepal for free?

To apply for DV Lottery 2026 registration online for free, follow the steps below

1. Go to the https://dvprogram.state.gov/

• Visit the official website at https://dvprogram.state.gov/
• Scroll down, then Click on Begin entry
• Solve Captcha, then hit enter.

2. Enter your Full Name

• You have to write your full name (If you have a passport, then look at your passport)
• Enter your Last Name >> First Name >> If you have a middle name, then add a Middle name.

3. Enter your Date Of Birth and Birth City

• Enter your date of birth, the same as a government document (Birth Certificate, Citizenship or Passport).
• If you know, it is recommended to write your Birth City (this is optional),
• The country where you were born (your nationality).

4. Select your Birth Country and Eligibility for the DV Program

The Diversity Program is not eligible for all the country. Some nationalities are not eligible for DV Lottery. But if you are Nepalese, then you can simply copy the same as the image below.

5. Upload your Photo

Now, upload your photo, which must have been taken in the last six months or less, and also pass the requirement.

6. Add your Mailing Address

Like any other service, you will receive documents and forms if you are selected for a Green Card, so do not make a mistake in this. You need to provide a living address as it will be easier for you.

• City: Your city’s name
• District/Province: Kaski District / Gandaki Province
• Postal Code: Search Google for your City or District Postal Code
• Country: Select your country name (Nepal)

7. Provide your Contact Details

You must provide your e-mail address. This is important because winners get all information about their further processing through email.

8. Provide your Education Qualification

According to the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs, you should pass at least High school or have work experience.

9. Choose your Marital Status

If you are not married, you can check Unmarried, but if you are married, you must provide all the information about your partner.

Participants with children should inform their children as well. Read the full instructions carefully.

10. Submit your Application

If you have children, write the number of children (All of them) and click on continue to proceed.

After clicking continue, you will be taken to another page where you will be asked to check all your information, make no mistakes, and check for errors. If you do not find any, then click on submit.

11. Save Confirmation Number (Important)

This is the end of the DV Lottery online application form now.

Print this page or copy that confirmation number. You cannot return to this page after closing, so take a picture or note the 16 Digit and letter confirmation number.

A confirmation number will be used to check your Diversity Lottery result after 7 to 8 months next year.

After filling in all the details, you will receive your confirmation number, which you will need to keep safe until the result is out.
