Confirm Qualification
If you’ve applied through education, you need to prove that you have at least a high school degree or equivalent. Prepare original documents, such as a transcript, that prove that you’ve passed the examination.
If you’ve applied through work experience, ask your institute or employer to prepare a document stating that you have enough experience in the US.
While applying, they have set specific requirements such as only those qualified for Education, Work Experience, or Spouse can apply for the Diversity Visa.
Complete the online DS-260 application
Filling Out DS-260 Form: After being selected, you should first fill out an online application form, “DS-260. “

Sending Document to KCC: After submitting the DS-260 form online application, you will receive instructions on which and how to send documents. As this is an online form, you need to send it digitally, so gather these documents and make a digital copy.

A selectee for DV Lottery does not guarantee a visa, so you need to act quickly, gather all the documents, and submit them to the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC).
Interview for Diversity Visa
Receiving Interview Date: After you provide documents to KCC, they will review them, and if everything goes right, then they may send you an email to inform your interview schedule date.
You need to check your email regularly. To check your interview date, time, and location, you will need to log in to Entrant Status Check with your confirmation number.

After Interview
There are two possible outcomes that can happen after an EDV Lottery interview in Nepal, and that is either you get Visa Approval or Denial.
Visa Approved for Diversity Visa Lottery
If your visa is approved, then you will need to confirm and pay some fees as well.
Passport with Visa: A Diversity Visa will be printed on your passport. do check for all the information and make no mistake in your name, DOB, and other details. If you find one, then contact the embassy as soon as possible.
Sealed Immigrant Packet (Do not open): This is another document that you will receive, and it is sealed; according to the State Department website, you should keep this document unopened and show it to in the US.
Traveling to the US: The visa you receive is usually for six months, so you can travel within that time. Also, if your medical examination is expiring sooner, then you need to go before it expires.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Fee: You must pay the USCIS fee after receiving your diversity visa and before going to the U.S, which is $220.
Vaccination Records and X-rays: If you are traveling with children, then you must carry a vaccination record.
X-Ray in carry-on: It is requested to carry your X-ray in carry-on bags with you and not in luggage.
