Are you facing a “CRN Number is Not Registered” problem in your Meroshare account? Then there is a simple reason and when it will be solved.
All banks are required to renew their membership before the end of the fiscal year (31.03.2080) in the Securities Board of Nepal.
But some banks did not pay their due amount of rs 25,000 because of this you are facing this problem.
If you have a DEMAT account in the following banks, then you will not be able to apply for IPO (until the Banks Renew their Membership)
- Nepali Banijya Bank
- Nepali Bank Limited
- Nepali Investment Mega Bank
- NMB Bank Ltd.
- Sanima Bank
- Muktinath Bikas Bank
- Lumbini Bikas Bank
- Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank
Reason Why CRN Number Not Registered
According to 2073, banks and financial institutions that have received permission to collect investor applications and perform related activities during the public issue of securities must submit an application for renewal to the Nepal Securities Board one month before the end of the financial year and renew their license on 31.03.2080.
Banks and financial institutions that have not renewed their licenses in Nepal Securities Board due to the receipt of necessary operational instructions, along with the list of existing banks and financial institutions, are informed of the practice of being prohibited from performing purchase applications in the public issue of securities.
Investors who have obtained CRN numbers through banned banks and financial institutions will not be able to apply for the purchase of publicly issued securities through my shares, so banks and financial institutions that are members of ASBA that have not yet renewed their licenses should immediately renew their membership.
It is requested to make arrangements for the resumption of services.
