You might have already heard about the Qatar Police job that most people are currently talking about in Nepal. So, what is the process? is the application still open? can I apply for this police job in Qatar?

There are many questions that came into my mind when I first saw the article and started looking for relevant news or any ads related to this. But with little luck, there are very few on this topic.

Even though I did not find any form or job application website here is what I have found after reading a few articles and news.

Is a Qatar Police job available for Nepali? | vacancy Open?

This would be a great opportunity for most Nepalese people if the vacancy for Qatar police was open. But still very few details about this is known.

According to News Portal like Thediplomat and Nepalitimes from the year 2021, there has been illegal recruitment of around 12,000 Nepali citizens for its police force.

Illegal because the government forbids Nepalese citizens from serving Qatar’s security agencies as there is no formal agreement exists.

Qatari government made offers to recruit Nepali youth into their police force and also committed to meet the expenses involved, including free visas.

Three manpower were found sending Nepalese youth in large numbers illegally that are

  • SoS Manpower Services P. Ltd,
  • Hope International, and
  • DD Human Resources P. Ltd.

Hem Bahadur Gurung is the chairman of SoS Manpower Services and CEO of the Qatar Visa Center, which issues Qatari visas to Nepali nationals.

When DOFA raided HOPE International they found 400 Nepali being interviewed for Qatar police vacancies.

How did they Apply for Qatar police vacancy in Nepal

These were the process through which illegal recruitment of Nepali youths was happening. This was illegal because there are no legal agreements between Qatar and the Nepali government on recruitment for Police.

The recruitment Process for Qatar Police

Like in the army or police there will be 3 tests first one is a Physical test where your physical powers will be tested, check below for details. Another one is written where your educational background will be checked and the last Interview.

Documents Required

  • Minimum qualification 12th or equivalent
  • Army or Police document preferred
  • Other security related document

Physical Requirement for Qatar Police for Nepali

The candidates must have the least these physical bodies to qualify

  • Minimum height 5.7
  • Civilians aged between 22 – 30 years old
  • Former police or army age between 22 – 35 years old

Physical Test

Like in any other security-related job you will need to pass or at least secure certain points in

  • Running
  • Set Ups
  • Push Ups

Language Requirements

  • Basic writing and Speaking in English are mandatory
  • Arabic and Hindi will provide you with extra points

How much are Nepali Qatar Police paid?

Nepalis in the Qatar Police are paid 3,000 Qatari Riyal which is Nepali Rs 97,000 for three months this is during their training session, after which they get Rs180,000 a month. Benefits like overtime, end-of-service benefits, food, and accommodation are also given by them.

However, few Nepalis who got those jobs in the previous batch of 179 recruits report paying recruitment agencies in Nepal Rs600,000 each for the job.

  1. When I visited Doha, Qatar in 2017 I saw police from all over the world, it seems. More than a few seemed to be from India or Nepal. Qatar is an interesting place.
