How to Check and Pay Taxes on Bonus Shares in Nepal?

Check Bonus Share TAX Amount

You must visit the company’s official website or share registar capital to check how much tax you need to pay to receive your bonus shares.
Look for “Share Tax” or “TAX LIABILITY CHECK” or other relevent terms from the main menu.
To check bonus share tax you need BOID Number and Company’s name.
Pay your Required Tax Amount

The website usually leaves a notice on which bank and account to deposit your share tax amount.
You can pay via online mobile banking or deposit it directly from Bank counter. Please do Include your Full Name, BOID Number, and Contact Details on Remarks section.
Why do I need to pay taxes on Bonus Shares in Nepal?
Bonus shares are taxable income. If the company doesn’t cover the tax amount, investors must pay themselves to receive their bonus shares.
Take a Photo Bank Receipt and Send Email

As a proof of payment you need to send payment receipt’s photo or screenshot to the company or its capital (check notice) vai email or uploading it to the companies website.
Also, include your BOID Number, Full Name, and Phone Number to help them process faster.
Receive your Bonus Share on your MeroShare Account
It usually takes 7 to 10 days to fully process and receive your shares on your meroshare account.
